Dear Colleagues,
As discussed at our recent Campus Partner AGR meeting, our Alumni, as expected, show more affiliation to their respective departments than centrally with UCSB Alumni. With that in mind we recommend that invitations to this year’s AGR come from departments/areas whenever possible - particularly if they are hosting an event.
We are able to assist you with this though by building out and sending them using the central IA email platform. As well as incorporating the new campus visual identity system allowing a seamless flow with the Alumni AGR web pages, sending them centrally will also allow for more robust email reporting which will feed into the flow of your campaign’s emails: invites, reminders, follow-ups.

PROCESS
In order to participate and have us send your AGR emails please complete the following simple steps:
1. Email Template
Review the attached Email Template design (9.6 MB) so as to understand the elements being requested.
2. Content
Complete the attached Email Content Form and send to jane.mctaggart@ucsb.edu. (Upload your image below labelling clearly with area name).** All copy and images must be approved prior to being submitted**.
Your email will then be built out and sent to you for review and final approval.
3. Lists
Submit an OARS request for your email list (we can do this for you if you do not have access, just send an email request to samantha.putnam@ucsb.edu). If you would like to include your own list of contacts please submit these too. We will add your additional contacts/lists to that requested from OARS for you to review and approve. Send the final approved list to jane.mctaggart@ucsb.edu.
TIMELINE
In order to meet the email drop-date of March 28 it is critical that you adhere to the following deadlines:
March 15, 2019
Approved copy and hero images due
March 15, 2019
Submit OARS list request (along with any additional contact/lists you would like to include/use)
March 19, 2019
Draft emails will be distributed for approval
March 22, 2019
Final approved list due
March 25, 2019
Draft email approval deadline
March 28, 2019
